Rory is a freaking rare genius…

Just saw Rory picking guitar at Robert’s on Broadway last Thursday. Unbelievable.

I literally just heard your name 30 minutes ago and you are one of my favorite musicians and people on this planet. You are an incredible human, thank you for being you. You're a fucking KILLER

I think because Rory is blind his hearing is probably much better than the average person's. I think he deserves his own signature guitar from Martin, Taylor, PRS, etc. and his ears could fine tune the sound exactly to his liking.

We all are aware of the 5 senses. Sight is usually considered the most important. But. Hearing (sound) and touch sure can be magnified, without sight in music! Consider Art Tatum and Ray Charles on piano and now Rory Hoffman on Guitar! What great gifts to the world of music.

I first saw Rory at the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society weekend in Nashville. I was blown away. Caught him recently with the Transatlantic Guitar Trio (with the incredible Richard Smith and Joscho Stephan) at Lord of the Strings Concerts in Southern California. “Hi level” doesn’t begin to describe him. You have to see him live!

John the Baptist said in Matthew 3:11 “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Similar verse in Mark 1. Jesus’s sacrifice hadn’t been done at that point. When it was done was when salvation became a free gift. We are all sinners and if we say we’re not we deceive ourselves. So how do we fix our sin problem? Not through works. Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us. What kind of mercy did God show to save us? When Jesus died, was buried and rose from the dead that was God’s mercy. The gospel is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. “Moreover brethren I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you and wherein ye stand, by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory of what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he was buried and rose again according to the scriptures. Salvation until the rapture is so simple. It’s not by anything you do. God will only forgive sin based upon blood and the blood we have is Jesus’s blood. When you believe in the sacrifice of Jesus you change your mind or repented and you’re on your way to heaven.
